Freeths Complete Major New Leisure Project in East Midlands

A team from Freeths, led by Stephen Pearson, Public Sector Commercial Partner, has now completed a major design, build, operate and maintain contract for a new leisure centre for Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council,to be built at Argents Mead, Hinckley, incorporating an 8 lane, 25 metre pool and 8 court sports hall and dance studios.

The state of the art new facility, which will benefit from a swimming pool with movable floor and a high level of “green” build credentials, will be operated by Places for People Leisure, previously DC Leisure, and be built by Pellikaan, the UK subsidiary of this Belgium based specialist building contractor.

PFP will have a 20 year operation contract and the Centre will become an income generator for HBBC, whose residents will benefit from a ‘state of the art’ new facility. The Freeths team was led by Stephen with support from Chris Holwell, Construction, and Mark Gradwell, Property Partner.
