EM Lawshare is a consortium of public bodies the large majority of which are local authorities but also includes, fire authorities, town and parish councils, NHS trusts and others. As of 1 May 2017 the consortium had 121 members making it the largest of its kind.
Originally when set up in 2006 all the members were solely from the East Midlands and though they are still the largest in number members are now drawn from all over England. Over the four years up to and including 2016/17, the spend by members was £16.2M.
The consortium is seeking expressions of interest from firms for the next four year contract which will run from April 2018. We are looking for up to eight firms to provide legal advice and representation to members who could include any public body in England and Wales.
Interested firms should complete a standard selection questionnaire via e-tendering portal www.eastmidstenders.org.
The closing date for submission of the completed questionnaire is 21 August 2017.
